The perfectionist side of me has a love/hate relationship with film. Working with an old camera, I feel like so much is out of my control. Focus, exposure, light leaks, grain – everything you have perfect control over with a digital camera changes.
While it typically puts my stomach in knots when I send in my rolls, I always love what comes out of the camera, imperfections and all.
It feels a little bit more like real life, and I love that.
